What We Believe

Leaders are guided by their core beliefs, and the organizations they lead are shaped by those beliefs. Our firm, and our work, are shaped by the following:

  • There IS a better way; the quest for continuous improvement requires the courage to re-think our assumptions, beliefs, and past decisions

  • What is best for your end users/customers is a primary consideration; you have no reason to exist without them

  • Leadership is crucial; people and organizations go as they are led

  • Leaders should lead by example; those who don’t lose credibility

  • Gimmicks are no substitute for a thoughtful and sincere approach; simplicity of communication and process is desirable

  • Leaders aren’t just the people on top of the organization, they are anyone with the potential to influence others

“The first responsibility of a leader is to define reality. The last is to say thank you. In between the two, the leader must become a servant and a debtor. That sums up the progress of an artful leader.”

- Max DuPree, "Leadership Is An Art"

From a former employee:

On Mentoring…
Janice Allen Jackson is the consummate example for young aspiring professionals. She is able guide her mentees/employees as they develop, understanding the need to expose them to varying situations that arise. She is unthreatened by the next generation of leaders; rather she embraces them.  Her willingness to give of herself personifies the servant leader.
